How do you backup a snapshot of all the settings?

Preferences (F2) -> Export Presets.

Also you can backup some other files in KMP folder:

Skins in \skins
Playlists in \Playlist (by default)
Logos in \Logo
Logo and playlists in Documents\KMPlayer (if you are using Vista)
Bookmarks in BookMark.ini
DVD Status in BookMark.DVD
URL lists: URLList.txt and UserList.txt
Custom hotkeys in KMPKey.ini
(maybe others...?)

If "Store settings in KMPCfg.ini" is enabled:
KMP settings in KMPCfg.ini

Open preferences. Now there should be a button "Export Presets". Just export as .reg. If you want to view the file use the notepad.

I hope this is what you want.

Or you enable Preferences > General "Store settings to KMPCfg.ini". Close KMP afterwards. Save KMPCfg.ini to another folder. If possible you should use the first way.

Great.
Does it mean the presence of the ini file will override the reg entries?
Also, will the ini file and reg entries be synced up after a configuration change?

I'm referring to the manual of "Pantuflo"... If you activate "Store settings to KMPCfg.ini" KMP is portable; settings wont be stored in the registry... As long as the option is enabled the ini file will be updated/changed

I don't know if the registry settings are deleted if you activate the option. The ini should be "stronger" than the reg... I'm not sure of this, but this has to be true. (Would make no sense if not)

If you backup your configuration it could be useful to name the (reg) file with the version number of KMP. (Just to keep track of backup order and to avoid problems after version or OS updates)

Hi all. I have a question: does KMPCfg.ini store ALL preferences and configurations?

My main problem is to export keyboard settings to multiple KMPlayer installations, and I was happy when I discovered the INI file option, but I opened it and there's no sign of key settings...

Thanks!
