I thought I'd remember right that there was a thread about this, but I couldn't find it, although I searched some time. It was about showing remaining time only... (if it exists)
The problem I never really noticed while showing elapsed time is that KMP skips some seconds.
You can try both. Play a file and let KMP display the remaining time. Watch the timer and you should notice that some seconds are almost skipped.
Show elapsed time and watch the timer. You can notice the same. It's not as recognizable as with remaining time, but you should notice it too.
To explain it better: every three dots are 1 second
05...06...07...08...09...10.11..12...13...14 (just for example)
If you enable the time display in the upper right corner..... F2 > General > OSD-Messages > [Playback-Tab]
You notice it too. Here you can see it even better. It doesn't matter if you show elapsed or remaining time. Some seconds are not displayed, they are skipped.
If you enable display of the system time (hh:mm:ss) you can see it too. Watch the seconds and you'll see it.
KMP can't even count correctly... not even the system time is displayed correctly.
I know this is minor but it's really annoying. Bug is bug....Time handling should be something that was there since the KMPlayer got released for the very first time. Very old bug...
